FULL CUSTOMIZATION
A complete range of specialty designed line ancillaries are available which can be operated independently or be fully integrated into the control system. These include low tension caterpillar type haul-off units, capstans, single and twin head winders, high speed cutters and various types of cooling units. Electrical control and line integration include the latest in drive, temperature and process control with high resolution touch screen HMI.
SILCURE SILICONE EXTRUDERS
Silcure extruders with screw diameters ranging from 30mm to 150mm are designed specifically for the processing of silicone compounds. These machines provide highly efficient cooling suitable for the most heat sensitive polymers. The unique screw design and precise drive control ensures exact output stability across a wide screw speed range.
SILCURE HOT BOXES
NFM’s “Hot Boxes” provide precise temperature control of the high intensity heating required to initiate the cure of silicone compounds. These machines utilize the latest in electrical energy implementation and may employ either infrared or radiant heaters.
Operating temperatures in excess of 800°C can be attained and with multi-zone heating, the correct balance of heat can be applied about the most complicated profile geometry. Standard units are available in lengths from 750mm to 2500mm and can be mounted horizontally or vertically depending on your process requirements
EXTENSION TUNNELS
Extension Tunnels are used to maintain the cure temperature without overheating the products. Horizontal and vertical designs are available with a wide range of standard and optional features.
Horizontal flat belt Extension Tunnels utilize either PTFE coated or stainless steel belts with automatic belt tensioning and tracking systems. Typical operating temperatures are between 250 and 300°C.
Both the Hot Boxes and Extension Tunnels are designed for easy access to the heat chamber for threading up of the profile or hose. Fully insulated and interlocked panels provide full operator safety.
TEST YOUR APPLICATION WITH NFM’S PROCESS DEVELOPMENT LAB
OUR INNOVATIVE EXTRUSION TEST PILOT PLANT ALLOWS OUR CUSTOMERS TO PERFORM LAB-SCALE DEVELOPMENT AND SMALL PRODUCTION RUNS TO SIMULATE ACTUAL FIELD PRODUCTION CONDITIONS.
